DESTINATIONS

EXPERIENCES

Africa is about epic journeys, walking in the footsteps of explorers, majestic landscapes and the fascinating cultures - and it screams out adventure.

On foot, on top of a camel, in a canoe or gazing into a fire, far away from a lodge and vehicles, are simple pleasures which reveal the real essence of Africa.

From sleeping under the stars for the night in a Fly Camp, to horse riding across the Okavango, quad-biking to camp in the centre of a salt pan, or taking a day trip by helicopter up to the Jade Sea of Turkana in Northern Kenya. It does not have to be about the adrenalin rush… but it can be.

Adventure Fly Camping – The luxury lies in getting away from cars, people, and any sign of any other humans at all.

Adventurous transfers: Opt to take a guided walking safari or even camel or horse ride between camps, spending a few nights sleeping under the stars in a Fly Camp en-route.

Sleep outs: The easiest ways to inject a slice of adventure – swop your fluffy pillows for a night fly camping.

Kids love it: Nothing beats building a fire and sleeping under the stars for the night – cub scout style!

Helicopter scenic flights: Take a dawn flight around some of the dramatic peaks of Northern Kenya or the Okavango Delta, touching down on top of a mountain or on an island in the middle of the flood plains for a picnic breakfast.
