How to get around: The island is not very large, so transfers are all done by road.

Mauritius is generally a year round destination. The summer months between November – April, are hot and humid. The winter months are cooler and drier. The best months are April & May. We recommend avoiding January & February, as this is cyclone season.

Mauritius is a great destination on its own. Alternatively, it makes a wonderful add-on to a safari in South Africa or any of the countries in Southern Africa, with access via Johannesburg. Or as an add-on to a safari in Kenya.
